What
do we bring the first day?
Goggles, kickboard, towel, registration form and payment.
Can I leave while my child is swimming?
We ask that all parents and guardians stay and watch during the lessons.
If my child is 2 can they go to a swim class without me in the water?
We would require a private evaluation from an instructor and written release from the parent.
What do they learn in class?
Basic techniques that teach the child to swim on their own and also build the strength necessary to maintain endurance. They will also be shown how to properly conduct themselves in a boat and a skill called "Reach or Throw, Don't Go!" which is for helping others having trouble swimming without putting themselves in danger.
