Got a question? We’re here to help.
-
How quickly will my child move to the next level?
We are going to work your child everyday to ensure that they are progressing. However, this does look different for every child. We make sure to celebrate any progress made, big or small. While we can't promise a timeline for your child, our swim staff will keep you updated on how your child is doing and what we are working towards. We will absolutely let you know when it looks like your child is getting ready to graduate!
-
What are the class ratios?
All of our group classes have a maximum ratio of 1:4. Additional instructors are available to help as needed. We have a maximum of 2 kids for private lessons.
-
How can I help my child improve at home?
Practicing all the skills that we do in the pool, even just in a bathtub can help with the repition! Once you are able to get into pools outside of our swim lessons. It is super important to give your child 10-15 minutes of no floaty time. Work with them as you see your instructors in the pool and this will help them gain more and more independence.
-
What class should my child enroll in?
We offer assessments for anyone who is unsure of placement. It is done as a private class and will be half off the normal private lesson cost.
For children under the age of 2, they will always begin in our parent and child class. We do not offer private lessons for children under the age of 2.
If your child is between the ages of 2-4, we recommend one of our Aquatike classes. Aquatike 1 is for toddlers with little to no experience or comfort. Aquatike 2 is for toddlers who can go underwater comfortably and can swim and float minimally by themselves.
If your child is 5 or older, they would be in one of our child-aged classes. Beginner is a great class for any child who is either uncomfortable in the water or doesn't have any formal swimming experience. Our Intermediate class is for children who can successfully swim on the top of the water with their face in the water while they swim. We work on side breathing and backstroke in this level. Advanced is our highest level class. Your child must be able to proficiently perform both freestyle with side breathing and backstroke for a minimum of 25 meters. We will introduce breaststroke, butterfly, and shallow angle dives in this level.
